| Gandhi's
Stupid Brothers
A friend and
I were driving on four-lane highway when we encountered congestion caused
by the parishioners of a church. The far right lane was all parked up and
the lane just left of that had a number of cars with their flashers on
— blocking another whole lane.
My friend remarked:
"Stupid people!"
I told my friend,
"They must be my brothers, because I also have done stupid things." (I
have been reading many of the sayings of Gandhi lately.*)
We all had a
big laugh over that and all the rest of the drive we noticed that we had
lots of other relatives out on the road.
I count myself
lucky to be one of the Gandhi's stupid brothers.
